Jascar Services
For generations, girls in our countryside have had poor menstruation health and hygiene.
It negatively affects their education, health, safety, and human development.

And it causes them to drop out of school!
JASCAR
is Changing
That!
Local Services
We are based in Entebbe and provide services to many nearby schools and communities. Here is a list of the regions, communities and schools we currently service: (Caroline to provide a list).
If you live in one of these areas and are a girl (whether you are in school or not), a family, church or school, we have programs for you.
If you are outside of the communities listed, we want to bring your girls, schools, and community into our program.
Our services are FREE of charge to girls and schools in our program.

From Little Girls, to Young Women...

Unfortunately, menstrual periods are causing girls to be absent from school.

Why? Because they lack access to menstrual products, adequate facilities for proper menstrual hygiene management, and clean water.

Additionally, although menstruation is a natural and vital aspect of life for girls and women, in many societies, like Caroline's experience mentioned earlier, there are cultural taboos and discriminatory social norms. Quite often, they give rise to shaming, bullying, and even gender-based violence.

We are committed to providing information, education, products, and hands-on outreach services that positively impact girls every day.

Here is what we are currently doing.

FOR GIRLS, we provide "GirlPaks" that include:
-
Menstrual Health Awareness and Management.
-
Menstrual Hygiene Management.
-
Reusable Sanitary pads.
-
Underwear/Knickers.
-
Education:
-
Special classes and events.
-
Menstrual Health Manual.
-
Portable Calendars for girls to track their Menstrual Cycle.
-
Menstrual Health Management Clubs in Schools.
-
Menstrual Charts.
-

We are committed to community outreach and education. We believe in transforming the lives of marginalized children, women, and families in underprivileged communities. We aim to provide them welfare support, informal training, and skills enhancement. Through our "Teach-The-Teachers" initiative and Menstrual Health Management Clubs, we leverage our positive impact on local communities and those beyond our direct reach.

This is BIG!

In our area, for every girl we provide services to, there are thousands more for us to reach. The support we provide comes in many forms. Here are our current initiatives for the services that are so desperately needed by the girls of our community:
1. Create and implement broader health initiatives and provide direct health services to girls.
2. Improve early education by sponsoring orphans and training teachers. Teach-The-Teacher.
3. Providing safe and reliable water to families and communities.
4. Create a training center to train families and communities to locally source and manufacture reusable sanitary pads and "GirlPaks." This will provide local jobs and further connect the role of girls to the success of the communities where they live.
It is through those programs that we will improve vulnerable lives, transform communities, and eliminate social stigma and cultural taboos. It will help break one of the long-held reigns of poverty of the least recognized members of our communities, girls and young women.
